Tackling the Housing Crisis
The Construction Safety Campaign invite you to a meeting and book launch for Tony O’Brien’s new book on Tackling the Housing Crisis through Construction Direct Labour Organisations.
Thursday 27th September, 6pm at Unite Head office, 128 Theobalds Road, London WC1 8TN.
Tony has already been promoting the book at trade union meetings up and down the country including a successful turn out at Wolverhampton Trades Council. This book launch will put the link between housing and construction into the political mainstream. The book argues that local authority directly employed workers and the creation of a national public-sector construction organisation are our answer to the corrupt system of control by building companies and property speculators.
Speakers include: John McDonnell MP, Julie Phipps, UNITE Convener Southwark, Defend Council Housing and Special Guest from UNITE to be confirmed.
